1st year Apprentices to Journeyperson Plumbers and Sheet Metal Workers are needed for plumbing, gas fitting, and HVAC installation projects for residential properties, including 3 to 6 story - multi-unit walk-up condominiums.
Location: Edmonton and surrounding area
STARTING RATES $20.00 - $40.00/hour PLUS HOLIDAY PAY

Requirements
- All levels! Seeking 1st to 4th year Apprentices to Journeypersons.
- Project Management skills an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with installations and repairs in either the commercial or residential construction industry preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Job Overview
As a Journeyperson you will provide services throughout all stages of the building process. You will mentor, develop and provide guidance to Apprentices. Project Management opportunities are available for those with drive!
As an Apprentice, you will provide assistance to the Journeyperson.
Residential Plumber/Gasfitter Responsibilities Include:
- Participating in plumbing and activities at all stages of building lifecycle and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and overhauling entire plumbing systems.
- Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, drawings and other specifications to comprehend the project requirements prior to commencing work.
- Measuring and laying out reference points for installation in an accurate manner.
- Verifying and preparing materials required for projects, ensuring accurate material type and quantity.
- Working safely and complying with the safety program and relevant safety regulations.
HVAC Installer/Sheet Metal Worker Responsibilities Include:
- Installing and servicing various residential HVAC equipment and performing duct work as required. Ensuring projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standard.
- Reviewing project documents with the sales team and clarifying any inquiries relative to designs and specifications.
- Conducting project site reviews prior to commencing work.
- Supporting and providing guidance to other team members as necessary.
- Working safely and complying with the aafety program and relevant safety regulations.
Working Conditions
Work will primarily be conducted on job sites during regular business hours (Monday to Friday), dispatched from Edmonton location.
Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Physical work pace and/or exertion brings on a limited amount of physical fatigue. We offer the opportunity to work additional hours.
