Description
Under the direction of the Manager of Ambulatory Programs, the Telemedicine RPN provides Telemedicine services to patients, families, physicians, hospital staff and external partners. The telemedicine nurse plans, organizes, and implements Telemedicine activities within the organization and assists clients is health care system navigation. The telemedicine provides hands-on patient care and participates in telemedicine visits with patients and families.

Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in Clinical Nursing
- Demonstrated highly developed physical assessment skills
- Reliable attendance record
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to perform effectively & efficiently under stressful situations
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal & communication skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians, hospital, and external organization personnel
- Current certification in WHMIS (within the last 12 months)
- Certification in CPR (Healthcare Provider Level) & demonstrated continuing competence in CPR through bi-annual recertification
- Certification in IV Therapy for RPN’s with demonstrated ongoing competence
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days/evenings/weekends
- Demonstrated knowledge of an adherence to integrating the principles of patient safety and risk management into their daily work roles and responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policy and principles
- Knowledge of First Nations culture an asset
